Because this is handled through High Level Emulation, there's no need to mess with Dolphin's virtual SD card or anything like that, putting it in the folder is good enough.

If you're interested, all you need to do is update your Dolphin to any version that is 5.0-9908 or later, and select "browse netplay sessions" from the tools menu. All users need to do is extract the Riivolution mod to the correct directory (On Windows by default - Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Riivolution) just like you would on a Wii. You can also sort by region, which helps for those that care about their ping, or by the specific title, and can see at a glance how many players are in a room before joining. Thanks to the new Netplay Server Browser, players can create private or public lobbies for specific games, removing the need to find your IP and copy and paste it to everyone involved. For all those users that have struggled with tinkering around through multiple settings menus, the Dolphin team has introduced a brand new feature in their latest update, which makes it leagues easier to start up and join online netplay matches. Through the many years of development, Dolphin's netplay function has improved, though it has always required an extra bit of effort on the user's part to make sure everything worked right. Netplay is especially one of those magical features, allowing online players from around the world to sync up and play local games as if they were together in the same room. With features like upscaling, netplay, and so much more, it's a shining example of the sorts of peaks that emulation can reach. I'm in same boat as you with what titles enhancements may break during netplay. When it comes to emulating the Nintendo GameCube or Wii, the Dolphin emulator reigns supreme. Unnecessary columns? It's another way to tell the user to not look into when desync happens. I'm also uncomfortable with comments like "in most games" in the table, unless we can list the specific problematic titles. Many of the columns seem to be there just to say there is no issue with these settings (Interface/Path), which seems unnecessary. Dolphin Emulator is a version of the excellent Nintendo Gamecube and Wii emulator for Windows, this time adapted for. Would it be better to move those table into the Desync Troubleshooting section? Lucario ( talk) 18:43, 12 October 2015 (CEST) How's the current table? Lucario ( talk) 06:54, 14 October 2015 (CEST) Um, I still question it. This new table will help them with what settings worth looking into when the desync happens instead of looking through the settings in the screenshots and having misconception whether certain setting caused desync or not. I was thinking it's nice inclusion considering I've seen people at matchmaking sites posting pictures to make sure no settings look off to them. Dolphin is the ultimate Wii and Gamecube emulator. Of course, it's best to use an ordinary game controller for almost every game. Dolphins approach to emulating this bit of the hardware has been to effectively ignore it exists.

I'm surprised that you didn't like the new table. You can also configure the Wii controllers however you want, even connecting the Wiimote to your PC (if you have an adapter). The first rabbit hole showcases TMEM, the GameCube and Wiis texture cache. We can always add more setting into the table that proved to cause desync in other games. I've only tested for desync with one game. I get the feeling a lot of users will just look at the table and ignore the details. :( - MayImilae ( talk) 17:33, 12 October 2015 (CEST) So Dual Core says it can work, but then all of the description about it is several inches down at the bottom. It is improving regularly, and GameCube Netplay should be painless. It places all of the notes for things very very far from the themselves themselves. Netplay is a defining feature of Dolphin: it allows you to set up online sessions for any GameCube or Wii title with a local multiplayer mode, without the problems or limitations of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or hassle of the BBA. But perhaps these comments are too old to still apply. Um, so what does the above actually mean? Seems like we should not be recommending Dual Core = On, or Insert SD Card = Off.
